The IVET School is located two separate compounds left and right of Road No. 4 shortly before reaching the town centre. The construction works of the school are expected to be completed in April 2010 and delivery of equipment in October 2010.

 The trades / buildings / facilities foreseen for the operation of the school are:

  1. Agriculture: Crop Production and Animal Husbandry
  2. Construction: Building and Carpentry
  3. Mechanical: Small Engines and Electrical Repair
  4. Kitchen and Canteen Services
  5. Computer Training
  6. Administration Building, 3 Public Toilets, Accommodation for students, Internal Roads, Parking and Foot-walks
  7. Vehicles for the Management of the School

In total 11 individual buildings will have been erected on a compound of some 14.3 ha for a total cost of approx. EUR 0. 621 mio with equipment estimated of EUR 0.177 mio.

Sayabouri is situated in the northwest of Lao; sharing borders with Vientiane and Luang Prabang in the east and with six Thailand provinces in the West. Sayabouri is the most attractive destinations with sights and charms peculiar to itself and picturesque North-west region. There are many beautiful things to see in Sayabouri. The principal town is commonly called Muang Sayabouri, where many impressive temples such as Wat Ban Thin, Wat Ban Phapoun and Wat Ban Natonoy are located

The capital of the province, Sayabouri is on the banks of the Nam Hung, a tributary of the Mekong. The province houses the Nam Phoun National Biodiversity Conservation Area which is 1,150 sqkm of forested hills that contain Asiatic black bear, elephant, guar, gibbon, Malayan sun bear and Sumatran rhino. The landscape here is magnificent by several peaks altitudes of more than 1,000 meters; the meadows and pastures with flower in full boom; the thick and tangled virgin forests etc.

 The area of Muang Phieng, such as Ban Fainamtan, Ban Nakhem and Ban Nampoui have a tradition of agriculture because the land is fertile suitable for agricultural production; particularly maize, rice, water melons, cabbages and sugar cane.

The southern part of the province has many scenic waterfalls, but getting around this part of the province is very difficult.
